our story
Ireland produces some of the best milk in the world. Thick. Creamy. Natural. Key ingredients for great cheese. And so our story began. In 2009 we transformed a disused agricultural barn into a modern dairy – our cheese shed. We then quietly worked away building our knowledge and experience of cheesemaking and aging. Time. Patience. Innovation. Celebration.
We now make and age 8 wonderful cheeses for us and you to enjoy. Proud to be a family-run company supported by the community we belong to.

the Sperrin Mountains, Derry
Located in Ireland’s North West, just outside the historic city of Derry – in an area recognised as a place of outstanding natural beauty – best described as untamed, unspoiled, and magnificent.
The Sperrin Mountains (from Irish Speirn ‘small pinnacle’) are a series of mountains that make up one of Ireland’s major highland regions. They stretch over 40 kilometres and number 69 mountains in total.
The Sperrin’s feature around 90 stone circles, the best known of which are the Beaghmore Stone Circles in the southeast of the range. The Circles’ alignments precisely correspond to the motions of the sun, moon, and stars.
We are just below Dart Mountain, (in Irish An Dairt – the lump)- hence our name
